Hoffman Electric’s Mission and Story

The mission of Hoffman Electric is to provide the best electrical experience to our customers. We want our customers to be happy with our service, to feel safe about their electrical grid throughout their property, and to have peace of mind knowing that any future electrical needs will be taken care of in a timely manner.

With the busy world that everyone currently lives in, worrying about one’s electrical system’s safety shouldn’t be an added stressor. Hoffman Electric has experience in all types of electrical work, including but not limited to: installing new recessed lights in a house, pulling in CAT5e for internet, roughing and completing commercial offices, designing a full site layout for a new house, and wiring a new shop or bin site. We will keep the lines of communication open with our clients in order to keep them informed about the current stage of their project and what needs to happen in order to complete the project.

Kyle Hoffman is the owner of Hoffman Electric and is a Minnesota licensed Master Electrician. Everything is installed to NEC standards that are consistently being updated and modified for a changing world.

Our Story

Our story began when Kyle was a senior at GFW high school and discovered his interest in the electrical field. He was accepted to the electrician program at Ridgewater College and graduated with an electrician diploma in 2012. After college, he moved back home to Lafayette, Minnesota and began working for an electrical contractor north of Gibbon, Minnesota.

In 2014, Kyle married his highschool sweetheart and they moved to Massachusetts so Mackenzie could attend graduate school. Kyle worked for a contractor in Connecticut during this time and was able to obtain his Journeyman electrical license in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. He was able to gain a wealth of knowledge in different areas that are not as common in rural Minnesota such as the maintenance of projects for a solar development company and wiring multi-million dollar homes on Martha’s Vineyard.

After two and a half years in Massachusetts, Kyle and Mackenzie moved back home to Minnesota in 2016. Kyle went back to work for his previous Minnesota employer and enjoyed being in a place where he knew more of his customer base on a personal level once again. In 2016 Kyle obtained his Journeyman electrical license in Minnesota, and in 2017 he earned his Master electrical license from the state.

Hoffman Electric began in March of 2020. Kyle and Mackenzie look forward to continuing to expand the business and serving the south-central Minnesota community with exceptional service for years to come.
